I’m in Nashville to play the CMAs with Faith Hill Wednesday night.  Very much looking forward to that experience!  In the meantime I’m also trying to soak up some inspiration to take with me to Birmingham this weekend,  where Orenda and I will be joining Jeff for another dive into the O+S album.  Stopped into Third Man Records,  and I must say inspiration infuses the place.  Jack White’s passion for music and for the experience of music is in everything there -  the records,  the artwork,  the related novelties on display.  It reminds me in a big way of Jeff and what he’s doing with Communicating Vessels - a very clear vision and aesthetic;  attention to detail;  heart and soul poured into every release.  It’s people like them that keep the lifeblood flowing in this weird business we’re in.  (S)
