ORENDA NAVIGATING BY STARS… O+S is recording new music at Communicating Vessels in Birmingham, and the results so far are beautiful! Working with Jeffrey Cain is always full of experimentation and inspiration, and we’ve had the added pleasure of Chip Kilpatrick, Sanders Bohlke, Preston Lovinggood and Kyle Ginther contributing as well. THE WHIP HAS BEEN CRACKED!
Orenda rang up the other night and basically set fire under the ass of the next record. So the official deadline to have the songs done is now Halloween 2011!
Jeffrey Cain is on board to help concoct the tracks, and we’ll be building on top of beats and samples left behind by the inimitable Gregory Slay. Those parameters alone guarantee that magic will be within reach. And if I can get Michael Patterson involved I’ll be living the dream.

I’ve been touring with other artists quite a bit recently and, as fun as it is, it’s made me REALLY keen to do O+S shows. Performing with Orenda - playing our songs - is such a joy. I plan to get my fill of it this next year!! (S)
